A dialkyltin benzamidoacetate compound {[n-Bu2Sn(O2CCH2NHCOC6H5)](2)O}(2)center dot C6H6 has been synthesized by the reaction of dialkyltin oxide with benzamidoacetic acid in 1:1 molar ratio, and its structure was determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction.
