摘要:
During the development of Old English to Modern English, major changes occurred in phonetics (such as the large changes in vowels in mid-term English), as well as some pragmatic and analogical effects, which led to the inflection of many cases. In addition, some special structures will involve multiple forms of analysis (inquiry expressions) in the evolution, and interact with the original expressions, which will inevitably lead to some structural ambiguity and cause reanalysis. Harris and Campbell constructed a complete theoretical framework for syntactic evolution. Three syntactic evolution mechanisms (reanalysis, extension, and borrowing) are at its core. This article is based on this syntactic evolutionary theoretical framework. Try to explain the evolution of English case. It mainly includes category category cause analysis and component group structure cause analysis. The principle of consistency in English grammar and the ambiguity caused by phonetic and inflected forms create conditions for the "reanalysis" of English cases. The "innovative expression" produced by "re-analysis" completes the evolution process through the "extension" evolution mechanism.
