现代性是个非常繁复的概念,但是它又有一定的统一性:价值层面的独立、自由、民主、平等,精神层面的直线向前、视野开阔、"反传统"是其突出特征。文学理论的现代性追求指的是文学理论追求自主性、走向多元、否定自我、不断超越。20世纪晚期,中国文学理论出于自身理论建构的需要及在西方现代文论的影响之下,进行了现代性的诉求。
