A novel kind of adsorbent, quaternary ammonium cellulose, was prepared using shaddock skin as a carrier. The static adsorption of aniline on quaternary ammonium cellulose was studied. The adsorption mechanism was discussed. The results showed that the resulted quaternary ammonium cellulose had favorable adsorption efficiency for aniline and the adsorption equilibrium matched Langmuire and Freundlich equations.
