中国体育人类学研究始于20世纪80年代,其学科的建立和发展归功于人类学、民族学成熟的理论体系与研究范式,以及中国丰富的民族传统体育资源、理论与实践。研究认为:中国体育人类学发展经历了学科形成、学科建立和学科发展三个阶段。当前,中国体育人类学正处在发展阶段,呈现出研究主题的多元化、研究问题的深入化和学术平台的多样化特征。研究视域的拓展、研究层面的融合、研究范式的确立及多学科的交叉融合将是中国体育人类学的发展方向。
