This study examined the mediating role of depression in the association of childhood abuse and self-injuries. Moreover, the gender difference in this hypothesized mediating model was also tested. A total of 312 undergraduate students were invited to fill out a questionnaire which in-cluding the Chinese Version of Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, the Center for Epidemiologic Studies-Depression Scale and the Adolescents Self-Harm Scale online.
