江岚《唐诗西传史论———以唐诗在英美的传播为中心》第一次依据两个重要文化现象———《神州集》的出版与美国唐学会成立将唐诗西传划分为三个历史阶段,并对文本误读与唐诗还原研究进行了深入探讨;论述在多种文化比较的背景下展开,作者在深刻理解英美诗歌情韵的基础上对唐诗西传史作了周详的描述。著作融贯中西文化,体现出深思明辨与学术首创性,是全面系统研究唐代诗歌传播的重要论著。

For the first time, Jiang Lan＇s monograph History of Tang Poetry Propagation to the West： With a Focus on Tang Poetry Propagation to Britain and the United States divides the history of Tang poetry propagation to the West into three historical peri- ods according to two important cultural phenomena the publication of Cathay and the founding of the Tang Studies Socie- ty--and makes an in-depth study into the misinterpretations of the text and the back translation of the Tang poems.
