诗歌是意、形和音完美结合的艺术整体。通过分析诗歌中语言形式和内涵表达的互动作用，强调在古诗英译中诗歌形式传达的必要性和可行性，同时，“形式对等”绝不是对原诗语言表层结构的机械移植。

Poetry is a perfect artistic whole of sense, form and sound.
