王船山经济伦理思想最具近代特色的理论内核是其关于＂自由经济＂的论述。＂人则未有不自谋其生者＂是经济主体行使自由权利的内在驱动;＂上唯无以夺其治生之力,宽之于公＂是经济主体行使自由权利的外在机制。船山对正当私利的肯定,对政府干预经济的反对,充分凸显了其经济伦理的近代启蒙特色。王船山自由经济思想具有与西方古典经济自由主义不同的特质,彰显了中国特殊社会背景下对财富分配正义的伦理诉求,具有重要的理论和实践意义。然而,王船山自由经济思想又存在内在张力,不乏理性主义色彩。
