Soil bacteria, as integral components of the soil microbial community, play pivotal roles in biogeochemical cycles and ecosystem functions in boreal forests. The altitudinal patterns of soil bacteria have been widely reported, but their community assembly is uncertain. Here, we investigated the soil bacterial community attributes (diversity, taxonomic and functional composition, and bacterial interactions) and ecological processes associated with community assembly on Mt.
