Two new three-dimensional (3D) coordination polymers [Zn(INAIP)] ·2DMF (1) and [Zn(INAIP)]·9H2O (2) have been synthesized by reactions of Zn(NO3)2·6H 2O with 5-(isonicotinamido)isophthalic acid (H2INAIP) in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and N,N-diethylformamide (DEF), respectively. The change of solvent leads to the formation of neutral frameworks with different structure, topology as well as different pore size and shape.
