Who was the Historical Prototype of 'Ba Xian Wang'

在杨家将故事中,有一位“八贤王”。关于他的原型,学者们有不同的观点,大体说来,有人认为是宋朝开国皇帝赵匡胤的第四子赵德芳,也有认为是其第二子赵德昭,还有认为是太宗赵光义的儿子赵元俨。笔者对上述说法经过考证,以为“八贤王”的形象是古代剧作家和小说家结合宋初宗室轶闻而虚构出的一个人物。

In the story of Yang Jia Jiang,there was a person who was called 'Ba Xain Wang'.Scholars had different opions about his prototype.Generally speaking,there were the following opions:Someone considered he was Zhao De-fang,the fourth son of Zhao Kuang-yin who set up Song dynasty.Someone thought he was Zhao De-zhao,the second son of Zhao Kuang-yin.The other persons thought he was Zhao Yuan-yan,the son of Zhao Guang-yi who was called Song Tai Zong.After studying on above-mentioned viewpoints,I consider 'Ba Xian Wang' is a fictive person by archaic dramatists and fictionists who created the person c...
