“五育并举”是对我国教育改革有着深远影响的教育理念,有着重大的时代意义。但是,“五育并举”也相对存在概念意谓的限定、指导实践的局限、哲学之基的限制。因此,新时代教育发展亟须推进育人方式的变革与优化,由“五育并举”走向“五育融合”。“五育”的发展应该由“还原”思维走向“系统”思维,由“培养人力”走向“培养人”。应把“五育”视为一个有机系统,从理念先行、主体跟进以及环境支撑三大层面建设“五育”走向融合发展的三位一体策略体系,即遵循“五育”发展的系统性原则、提升教师“五育一体化”的能力以及建构“五育融合”的社会新生态。
