In the background of urbanization, based on the PSR model and the entropy weight method, the land of Xiangtan city ecological security evaluation index system was constructed, which included the changes of population, land use and industrial structure aspects. The results show that in the Xiangtan region from 2002 to 2011 land ecological security index is basically in a risk even in bad state even though in a steady upward trend.
