When the string vibration problem is solved by conventional analytical methods, its solving process is very cumbersome and it is difficult to acquire the underlying physical meaning direct- ly. Based on the MATLAB and finite difference method, the fixed endpoint reflection of string vibra- tion is studied, and the numerical results are displayed intuitively by using figures. The results show that the fixed endpoint can reflect incident wave, accompanied by a half-wave loss.
