教师精神作为教师对待教育工作的基本思想观念,是促进教师专业发展和教育活动不断进步的内在动力。对于教育具有坚定的信仰,对于学识具有勤奋的努力,对于教人具有高尚的人格,构成了近代教师精神的主体内容。在半个世纪左右的我国近代师范教育实践中,近代教育家不但自身推崇和力行教师精神,而且努力培养学生的教师精神。
