《龙舟会》是一曲君子人格的颂歌。王夫之运用杂剧的形式，通过对谢小娥、李公佐两个主要人物形象的塑造，通过将他们与宵小权贵的对比，热情歌颂谢小娥、李公佐的君子人格，形象诠释了他的理想人格的内涵。这种君子人格是他自己一直思考和追索的理想人格，具有知情意和衷共济、德才学全面发展的韵味和特质。是道德人格、意志人格和智慧人格的辩证统一。
