友情和亲情、爱情一样，是王夫之的生活、生命中是不可或缺的组成部分———在流传至今的王夫之一千多首诗歌中有数百首友情诗，既有王夫之与友朋的酬唱、赠别；也有王夫之对友朋的悼挽。通读王夫之的友情诗，我们不难发现王夫之的友情诗具有多方面的价值，其中最重要的是史料价值、思想价值和艺术价值。
