满足主体需要是幸福的必要条件。根据主体需要的内容可将其划分为物质的需要、精神的需要以及交往的需要。主体需要视域下幸福劳动的教育意蕴也应包括三个方面：符合学生的物质需要、契合学生的精神需要、适合学生的交往需要，因此，教育者应从主体需要的内容出发，积极探索幸福劳动的设计策略：一是彰显时代性，立足学生未来发展的需求；二是突出人本性，全程贯彻以学生为本的理念；三是把握系统性，均衡满足不同维度的需要；四是赓续传统，兼顾传统劳动与现代劳动。
