巴金、史铁生、周国平、毕淑敏等作家怀着深切的人道主义精神,在文学作品中探讨了安乐死实施对传统生死观、医德和家庭伦理观等的冲击,阐述了安乐死蕴含着的伦理道德意义：实施安乐死是对病人生命权利和生命价值的尊重,是现代医学人道主义和利他原则的体现。作家们通过身体力行或者文学创作等方式,将人道主义的精神延伸到个体生命的临终舞台,折射出强烈的生命意识和社会责任感。
