The title complex,[Co(L)(H_2O)]_n,1,where H_2 L=3-(carboxymethoxy)-2-naphthoic acid,was synthesized through hydrothermal synthesis and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.The crystal is monoclinic,space group P2_1 with a=0.505 87(7)nm,b=0.942 88(12)nm,c=1.234 03(16)nm,β=95.015(9),V= 0.586 35(13)nm 3,Z=2,M r =321.14,D c =1.819 g·cm~(-3),μ=1.487 mm~(-1),F(000)=326,R int =0.023 8,R_1 =0.022 8,wR_2 =0.053 2,and the Flack parameter is 0.026(13).In the complex,the cobalt atom is six-coordinated by six oxygen atoms,completing an octahedral geometry.The molecules are connected to form a 2D layer structure bridged by 3-(carboxymethoxy)-2-naphthoic acid.The cyclic voltammetric behavior of the complex was also studied

In the centrosymmetric polymeric title compound, {[CoGd 2(C 14H 8N 2O 5) 4(H 2O) 4]·4H 2O} n, the Gd III cation is coordinated by one water molecule and four pyridine-4-carboxamido-isophthalate (L) anions in a distorted square-anti-prismatic arrangement, while the Co II cation, located on an inversion center, is coordinated by two pyridyl-N atoms, two carboxylate-O atoms and two water molecules in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The asymmetric unit contains two anionic L ligands: one bridges two Gd cations and one Co cation through two carboxyl groups and one pyridine-N atom; the other bridges two Gd cations and one Co cation through two carboxyl groups and the uncoordinated pyridine-N atom is hydrogen-bonded to the adjacent coordinated water molecule. Extensive O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are present in the crystal structure.

The title complex,{[Eu(L)(HL)]·2H_2O}_n 1,where H_2 L=5-(isonicotinamido)isophthalic acid,was synthes-ized and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.The crystal is of monoclinic,space group P2_1 /c with a=1.344 02(18)nm,b=1.377 50(18)nm,c=1.623 07(15)nm,β=115.820(8)°,V=2.704 9(6)nm~3,Z=4,M r =757.45,D c =1.860 g·cm~(-3),μ=2.396 mm~(-1),F(000)=1 504,R int =0.051 4,R_1 =0.032 2,wR 2 =0.089 1.In the complex,the central Eu(Ⅲ)atom is eight-coordinated by eight carboxylate oxygen atoms,completing a distorted bicapped trigonal prismatic geometry.The molecules are connected to form a 2D bilayer structure bridged by 5-(isonicotinamido)isophthalic acid

The title compound, [Ag(L)]·H2O, 1, where HL=4-(isonicotinamido)benzoic acid, was synthesized in methanol solution and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystal is of monoclinic, space group P21/c with a=0.571 8(8) nm, b=1.357 2(18) nm, c=1.558 0(2) nm, β=91.090(2)°, V=1.209 0(3) nm3, Z=4, Dc=2.009 g·cm-3, F(000)=722, Rint=0.042 9, R=0.027 1, wR=0.055 6. In complex 1, the Ag atoms are linearly coordinated by one O atom and one N atom of two ligand molecules. Each L-ligand in turn uses its one carboxylate group and one pyridinyl groups to connect two metal centers, then the one-dimensional (1D) chains is formed. On the other hand, the 1D chains are further connected by O1W-H1WB…O2 hydrogen bonds and Ag-O weak interactions to give a two-dimensional (2D) layer, finally, the 2D net extents to three-dimensional (3D) supramolecular framework by O1W-H1WB…O1 as well as N2-H2…O2 interactions.

The title compound, {[Cd(C19H13N4O 4)2(H2O)2]·4H 2O}n or {[Cd(BBA)2(H2O) 2]·4H2O}n, where BBA is 3,5-bis-(iso-nicotin-amido)-benzoate, is isotypic with its Mn isologue [Chen et al. (2009). J. Coord. Chem. 62, 2421-2428]. The cation sits on a twofold axis and is six-coordinated in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry; the polyhedra are linked into zigzag chains, which are further connected by N - H⋯O, O - H⋯O and O - H⋯N hydrogen bonds as well as π-π interactions [centroid-centroid distance of 3.639 (2) Å], giving a three-dimensional supra-molecular framework.
