No flow meter method for measuring radon exhalation from the medium surface with a ventilation chamber

摘要:
The method for measuring radon exhalation rate from the medium surface with a ventilation chamber is un-replaceable when surveying the radon exhalation rate continuously. Generally, the pump flow rate is an important parameter to obtain the radon exhalation rate from the measurement model. Our previous research indicated that the results of those measurements are inaccurate when the air change rate is not far larger than the effective decay constant. A no flow meter method is proposed for measuring radon exhalation from the medium surface with a ventilation chamber. A constant K is used to replace the sum of the air change rate and the effective decay constant. The radon exhalation rate and the value of K can be obtained by nonlinear data fitting through a novel model. The air flow rate is not a parameter of this model, and the flow meter is unnecessary in this measurement. The radon exhalation rates obtained by verification experiments are within the accepted values for the reference value. This method can be applied to develop and improve the instruments for measuring radon exhalation rate. © 2020 Elsevier Ltd

A large and tunable lateral shift in a prism coupling system with a superconducting YBa2Cu3O7 film is theoretically analyzed. The dip of the reflectivity and magnitude of the lateral shift can be controlled by the temperature of the superconducting film. The sign of the lateral shift can be determined by the thickness of the superconducting film. The position of the minimum reflection and maximum Goos–Hänchen shift can be conveniently adjusted by the thickness of the dielectric layer and incident light frequency. The largest shift, as high as 1550 times the free space wavelength, is achieved for the incident light frequency ω= 98 THz. The numerical calculation results from the Gaussian beam are in accordance with the theoretical results. © 2020, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

摘要:
为了提高纠缠态的内禀鲁棒性,并延长纠缠消退时间,探讨了幅值阻尼环境中量子比特基对两体纠缠鲁棒性的影响.展示了各种量子比特基下纠缠的退化特征和寿命,并给出各种情况下的最佳量子比特基.当纠缠态处于最佳量子比特基时,其纠缠退化的速率最慢,且不会在有限的时间内消失.结果表明可适时通过旋转量子比特基的方法来增强纠缠态的稳健性,将有助于提高基于纠缠的量子协议的实施质量或效率.

摘要:
In this paper, we study the dynamic characteristics of fractional-order nonlinear financial systems, including bifurcation and local asymptotic stability. Among them, we select the elasticity of demand of commercial (EDC) as the bifurcation point to discuss the state of the system. By calculating, the lowest order bifurcation point is obtained. Furthermore, the impulse control gains that follow a fractional-order control law are applied to make the fractional-order nonlinear financial system stable. In addition, some numerical simulation examples are provided to verify the effectiveness and the benefit of the proposed state form of the system near the bifurcation point and the states of the system when the impulse control is used or not. © 2018 Chinese Automatic Control Society and John Wiley & Sons Australia, Ltd

摘要:
Achieving kaleidoscopic wavefront controls with a thin flat plate is pivotal for increasing data capacity yet still challenging in integrated optics. An anisotropic metasurface provides an efficient recipe primarily for linear polarization, but is less efficient for multiple functionalities at arbitrary spin states. Here, a strategy of realizing a spin-decoupled high-capacity multifunctional metasurface by multiplexing the frequency and wavevector degree of freedom (DoF) is reported. By integrating both geometric and dynamic phases in split ring resonators and crossbars in a chessboard configuration, the inherent limitation of spin-flipped Pancharatnam–Berry phases can be completely decoupled between two spin states. Such released extraordinary DoF unprecedentedly increases the capability to yield kaleidoscopic wavefront control. To verify the significance, two proof-of-concept metadevices that are nearly impossible in conventional metasurfaces are experimentally demonstrated with four-port wavefront manipulations, exhibiting spin-, frequency-, and wavevector-dependent anomalous reflections, lensing, orbital angular momentum generation, and wavevector-multiplexed vortex scattering, along with two-dimensional holograms. Both numerical and experimental results illustrate quad-distinct functionalities with up to ten channel beams and ≈93% efficiency, because of the completely suppressed crosstalk among different operation modes, angular wavevectors, and spins. The finding in triple-DoF multiplexing is expected to generate great interest in electromagnetic integration with emerging DoFs. © 2019 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim

The charge injection mechanism of a connector layer is one of the critical issues influencing the performance of tandem organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). In this paper, to explore the charge injection mechanism of an organic heterojunction connector (OHJC) layer, we studied the device current density (J) characteristics generated by the C60/CuPc OHJC layer under different applied voltages (V). By analyzing the log(J)-V1/2 and ln(J/E)-1/E2 characteristics of devices, we found that the charge injection mechanism of the C60/CuPc OHJC layer is in accordance with the Richardson-Schottky model. This study can be a theoretical basis to design high-efficiency OLEDs. © 2020 Author(s).

Janus transition metal dichalcogenides with a built-in structural cross-plane asymmetry have recently emerged as a new class of two-dimensional materials with a large cross-plane dipole. By using the density functional theory calculation, we report the formation of different Schottky barriers for Janus PtSSe and graphene based van der Waals heterostructures, where the Schottky barrier height (SBH) and type of contact can be controlled by adjusting the interlayer distance, by applying an external electric field, and by having multiple layers of Janus PtSSe. It is found that the effects of tuning are more prominent for SPtSe/graphene as compared to SePtS/graphene. Besides, a transition from n-type Schottky contact to p-type Schottky contact and to Ohmic contact is also observed in the SPtSe/Gr heterostructure for different SPtSe stackings from 1 layer, to 2- and 3-layers, respectively. Our findings indicate that the SPtSe/graphene heterostructure is a suitable candidate for applications that require a tunable SBH. © 2019 Author(s).

有机异质结连接层因其具有良好的透光性能、制备工艺和有机电致发光器件(Organic light-emitting diodes, OLEDs)完全兼容的优点,被广泛应用于叠层OLEDs中。在叠层OLEDs中,连接层可产生电荷,其工作性能是影响叠层OLEDs性能的关键因素之一。为了获得最佳性能的有机异质结连接层,本文制备了结构为glass/ITO/tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum(Alq_3) (60 nm)/C_(60) (x nm)/CuPc(y nm)/N,N'-bis(naphthalen-1- yl) -N,N'-bis (phenyl) -be-nzidine(NPB) (40 nm)/Al (100 nm)的有机器件,直接获得了有机异质结连接层C_(60)/CuPc产生的器件电流。通过结构优化发现,结构为C_(60) (30 nm)/CuPc(10 nm)的连接层具有最强的电荷产生能力,并对最优结构连接层形成的物理机制作了合理的解释.本文获得的结果可为理解有机异质结连接层工作机理以及制备高性能叠层OLEDs提供理论基础。

摘要:
Traditional dynamic multiobjective evolutionary algorithms usually imitate the evolution of nature, maintaining diversity of population through different strategies and making the population track the Pareto optimal solution set efficiently after the environmental change. However, these algorithms neglect the role of the dynamic environment in evolution, leading to the lacking of active guieded search. In this paper, a dynamic multiobjective evolutionary algorithm based on a dynamic evolutionary environment model is proposed (DEE-DMOEA). When the environment has not changed, this algorithm makes use of the evolutionary environment to record the knowledge and information generated in evolution, and in turn, the knowledge and information guide the search. When a change is detected, the algorithm helps the population adapt to the new environment through building a dynamic evolutionary environment model, which enhances the diversity of the population by the guided method, and makes the environment and population evolve simultaneously. In addition, an implementation of the algorithm about the dynamic evolutionary environment model is introduced in this paper. The environment area and the unit area are employed to express the evolutionary environment. Furthermore, the strategies of constraint, facilitation and guidance for the evolution are proposed. Compared with three other state-of-the-art strategies on a series of test problems with linear or nonlinear correlation between design variables, the algorithm has shown its effectiveness for dealing with the dynamic multiobjective problems. © 2018 Elsevier B.V.

摘要:
We theoretically investigate the transparency effect with a hybrid system composed of a photonic molecule and dipole emitter. It is shown that the transparency effect incorporates both the coupled resonator-induced transparency (CRIT) effect and the dipole-induced transparency (DIT) effect. It is found that the superposed transparency windows are consistently narrower than the CRIT and DIT transparency windows. Benefiting from the superposed transparency effect, the photonic Faraday rotation effect could be realized in the photonic molecule system, which is useful for entanglement generation and quantum information processing.

摘要:
We present dark solitons on stripe phase background in a two-component coupled Bose-Einstein condensate. It is demonstrated that there are many different dark soliton profiles, in contrast to the dark solitons reported before. These different profiles are classified qualitatively to four distinctive cases, according to the differences between stripe spatial period and soliton size, and the fluctuation degree of stripe background. The interactions between these different dark solitons are also investigated. These results further enrich our knowledge on dark solitons in ultra-cold atomic systems, and other coupled nonlinear systems. © 2018 Elsevier B.V.

摘要:
Simultaneously independent control of phase, amplitude, and polarization is pivotal yet challenging for manipulating electromagnetic waves by transmissive metasurfaces. Huygens' metasurface affords a high-efficiency recipe primarily by engineering phase-only meta-atoms, restricting itself from realizing unprecedentedly complex functions of the transmission beam. Here, a 3D chirality-assisted metasurface concept relying on integrated magnetoelectric meta-atoms is proposed. It empowers the completely decoupled and arbitrary control of phase and amplitude at large incident angles and arbitrary polarizations. This strategy thus facilitates very sophisticated beam manipulations at close-to-unity cross-polarized efficiency via trilayer integrated resonators with mutual twist. The prescribed phase coverage can be determined by geometrical footprints of the unit cell, while the global azimuthal twist unlocks the capability of tuning amplitudes without affecting the phase. The concept and significance of it are validated to implement several proof-of-prototype demanding functionalities by thin metasurfaces of λ o /12, which generate self-accelerating diffraction-free Airy beams, lateral and axial dual focusing, and even specific multiplexed beam shaping, respectively. This finding opens up an alternative way in very fine control of light with minimalist complexity and advanced performance. It can stimulate novel and high-performance versatile photonic metadevices, thanks to the fully independent control of phase, amplitude, and polarization. © 2018 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. 摘要:
Photonic spin Hall effect (SHE) manifests itself as spin-dependent shift or splitting of a light beam, which is derived from spin-orbit interactions, and can be realized by breaking the rotation symmetry of light-matter interaction systems. Here, we demonstrate the observation of a photonic SHE by breaking the rotation symmetry of the optical field, while keeping the rotation symmetry of the inhomogeneous waveplate. The inhomogeneous waveplate constructed by dielectric nanostructures, introduces a spin-dependent Pancharatnam-Berry phase to the two spin components of the input beam, i.e., the left- and right-circular polarization components acquire exactly opposite vortex phases. During beam propagation, they experience opposite azimuthal rotations, and induce a four-lobe spin-dependent splitting in the azimuthal direction. In addition, the spin-dependent splitting becomes more evident upon beam propagation, and can be enhanced by increasing the topological orders of the nanostructures. For comparison, we also examine that no spin-dependent splitting can be observed when keeping the rotation symmetry of the incident optical field.

摘要:
Diffusive scatterings of electromagnetic (EM) waves by a thin screen are important in many applications, but available approaches cannot ensure uniform angular distributions of low-intensity scatterings without time-consuming optimizations. Here, we propose a robust and deterministic approach to design metasurfaces to achieve polarization-independent diffusive scatterings of EM waves within an ultrabroad frequency band and for wide-range of incident angles. Our key idea is to use high-efficiency Pancharatnam-Berry meta-atoms to form subarrays exhibiting focusing reflection-phase profiles, that can guarantee nearly uniform diffusive scatterings for arbitrarily polarized EM waves. As an illustration, we design and fabricate two metasurfaces and experimentally characterize their wave-diffusion properties in C, X, and Ku bands. Theoretical, numerical and experimental results demonstrate that our approach can diffuse the incident energy much more uniformly than available approaches based on the uniform-phase subarrays, thanks to the intrinsic wave-diffusion capabilities of the focusing-phase subarrays. The -7 dB fractional bandwidth is measured as 88.3% and the diffusive scattering behavior can be preserved up to 60° off-normal incidence irrespective of incident polarizations. Our approach, simple and robust, can help realize stealth applications under bistatic detections. © 2017 American Chemical Society.

摘要:
Water demand forecasting applies data supports for the scheduling and decision-making of urban water supply systems. In this study, a new dual-scale deep belief network (DSDBN) approach for daily urban water demand forecasting was proposed. Original daily water demand time series was decomposed into several intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) and one residue component with ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) technique. Stochastic and deterministic terms were reconstructed through analyzing the frequency characteristics of IMFs and residue using generalized Fourier transform. The deep belief network (DBN) model was used for prediction using the two feature terms. The outputs of the double DBNs are summed as the final forecasting results. Historical daily water demand datasets from an urban waterworks in Zhuzhou, China, were investigated by the proposed DSDBN model. The mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), normalized root-mean-square error (NRMSE), correlation coefficient (CC) and determination coefficient (DC) were used as evaluation criteria. The results were compared with the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model, feed forward neural network (FFNN) model, support vector regression (SVR) model, EEMD and their combinations, and single DBN model. The results obtained in the test period indicate that the proposed model has the smallest MAPE and NRMSE values of 1.291099 and 0.016625, respectively, and the largest CC and DC values of 0.976528 and 0.953512, respectively. Therefore, the proposed DSDBN method is a useful tool for daily urban water demand forecasting and outperforms other models in common use. © 2018 by the authors. Licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland.

摘要:
Entanglement distillation plays a very important role in quantum information science. Distillation of high-purity Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) states has been widely studied. We here show that a pure GHZ-type entangled state or its local unitary (LU)-equivalent state could be extracted from two copies of a particular multipartite mixed state (e.g., an X state) in a single step. Such one-step distillation schemes for LU-equivalent states are expected to shed light on mixed-state manipulation and purification, as well as establish a link between entanglement classification and distillation.

摘要:
During an experimental preparation, the contamination induced by chemical species usually leads to transport properties instabilities of molecular devices. In the present work, the density functional theory and nonequilibrium Green's functions are used to investigate the spin-transport properties of a manganese phthalocyanine-based spin valve. For the pristine spin valve, its magnetoresistive ratio can reach 10<sup>3</sup>, indicating important application values in future circuits. However, the magnetoresistive effects are significantly weakened when the device is contaminated by the group NO or CO. The mechanisms are revealed for these phenomena.<br/> ©2018 Elsevier B.V.

摘要:
The tunable and enhanced Goos–Hänchen (GH) shift for TM-polarized reflected beam from the graphene-based hyperbolic metamaterials (GHMM) is theoretically investigated. It is demonstrated that the lateral shift of the reflected beam can be tunable by Fermi energy and thickness of dielectric, and the largest GH shifts can be hundreds of wavelengths due to the enhanced effect by the GHMM. The minimum reflected angle (Brewster angle) moves to larger angle of incidence with the Fermi energy and thickness of dielectric increasing. Numerical simulation results for Gaussian incident beams coincide with the theoretical results from the stationary-phase method. The GH shift from the GHMM, maybe, open a new way for photoelectronic device application in future. © 2018, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

摘要:
Ultraviolet (UV) photodetectors with high responsivity and fast response are crucial for practical applications. Double perovskite Cs2AgBiBr6 has emerged as a promising optoelectronic material due to its excellent physics and photoelectric properties. However, no work is reported based on its film for photodetector applications. Herein, an ITO/SnO2/Cs2AgBiBr6/Au hole-transport layer free planar heterojunction device is fabricated for photodetector application. The device is self-powered with two responsivity peaks at 350 and 435 nm, which is suitable for ultraviolet-A (320–400 nm) and deep-blue light detecting. A high responsivity of 0.11 A W−1 at 350 nm and a quick response time of less than 3 ms are obtained, which is significantly higher than other semiconductor oxide heterojunction-based UV detectors. More importantly, the stability is significantly better than most of the hybrid perovskite photodetectors reported so far. Its photocurrent shows no obvious degradation after more than 6 months storage in ambient conditions without any encapsulation. Consequently, the utilization of Cs2AgBiBr6 film is a practical approach for high performance, large-area lead-free perovskite photodetector applications. For the mechanism, it is found that photogenerated carriers in Cs2AgBiBr6 film are separated at the Cs2AgBiBr6/SnO2 heterojunction interface by its built-in field. The low toxicity and high stability of this double perovskite active layer make it very promising for practical applications. © 2018 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim

Using first-principles calculations, we investigate the geometric structures, stabilities, electronic structures, and magnetic properties of three kinds of AsP monolayers: blue-phosphorene-like AsP (blue AsP), black-phosphorene-like AsP (black AsP) and puckered AsP. Stability analysis implies a high possibility of fabricating AsP monolayers in experiments. The blue AsP monolayer possesses the most stable structure with an indirect band-gap of 2.52 eV. The blue AsP system is also a good candidate for visible light photocatalytic decomposition of water. The black one is a semiconductor with a direct band gap of 1.53 eV at the Γpoint. The puckered AsP monolayer shows the lowest stability and narrowest indirect band gap of 1.38 eV. Both the intrinsic defects of P and As vacancies result in half-metallicity and magnetic semiconductor for blue and black AsP monolayers, respectively. Our results provide useful information to obtain new two dimensional materials for water splitting photocatalysts and spintronic devices.<br/> ©2017 Elsevier B.V.
