Influential existing research has suggested that rather than being static, mortality declines decelerate at young ages and accelerate at old ages. Without accounting for this feature, the forecast mortality rates of the popular Lee-Carter (LC) model are less reliable in the long run. To provide more accurate mortality forecasting, we introduce a time-varying coefficients extension of the LC model by adopting the effective kernel methods. With two frequently used kernel functions, Epanechnikov (LC-E) and Gaussian (LC-G), we demonstrate that the proposed extension is easy to implement, incorporates the rotating patterns of mortality decline and is straightforwardly extensible to multi-population cases. Using a large sample of 15 countries over 1950-2019, we show that LC-E and LC-G, as well as their multi-population counterparts, can consistently improve the forecasting accuracy of the competing LC and Li-Lee models in both single- and multi-population scenarios.

In this paper, we discuss the rigidity of gradient generalized m-quasi-Einstein manifolds and gradient shrinking Ricci solitons. We get some useful equations for the potential function of gradient generalized m-quasi-Einstein manifolds. Using these equations, we obtain some rigid properties for gradient generalized m-quasi-Einstein manifolds. Furthermore, we prove that some complete gradient shrinking Ricci solitons with pinching condition on the Weyl tensor are finite quotients of Rn or Sn.

目的 应用成分数据分析方法研究幼儿24 h活动行为(24-hour Movement Behavior)与基本动作技能(Fundamental Movement Skills,FMS)之间的关联,以及各活动行为间等时替代后幼儿FMS的预期变化。方法 采用ActiGraph wGT3-BT加速度计测量323名3~6岁幼儿(男童181名,女童142名)的身体活动(Physical Activity,PA)、静态行为(Sedentary Behaviour,SB)数据,采用美国大肌肉动作发展测试第3版工具(Test of Gross Motor Development,TGMD-3)测量FMS,睡眠时间由父母报告,成分数据的描述性统计分析、多元线性模型和等时替代均采用R软件完成。结果 (1)幼儿24 h活动时间分布与动作发展关联紧密,中高强度身体活动(Moderate-to-Vigorous Physical Activity,MVPA)在成分之间分布相对稳定,与低强度身体活动(Light Physical Activity,LPA)转换的可能性更大;(2)幼儿MVPA对移动技能和总动作技能(Total Motor Skill, Total MS)的影响最大,MVPA等时替代其他行为均具有积极效益,其中替换LPA效果最为明显,其他行为等时替代MVPA预示着更低的动作能力,而且预测具有不对称性。结论 虽然MVPA对幼儿动作发展影响最大,但更需要从整体视角平衡24 h活动行为对动作发展的影响;在幼儿园、家庭和社区环境中,强调将幼儿的LPA转换为MVPA,以更好地促进其FMS发展。

The traditional teaching mode has little interaction between teachers and students, and teachers can not grasp students' emotional changes in time. Therefore, how to timely and effectively feed back students' emotional state to teachers in class has become an urgent problem to be solved in current classroom teaching. This paper takes the classroom as the application scenario and uses the deep learning technology to propose a residual attention network and multi-scale fusion student emotion recognition model. The model uses image preprocessing to improve the quality of the input image, uses residual attention module to guide the network to focus on local salient features, uses multi-scale fusion module to strengthen the information interaction between different levels and expand the receptive field, and obtains high accuracy on FER2013 data set. Using this method to identify the students' attention state in class and judge the teacher's teaching effect and students' classroom listening attitude can correct students' listening attitude, improve teachers' teaching efficiency and promote the improvement of teaching quality.

Self‐supported Fe2P/Co2N porous heterostructure arrays are in situ constructed with abundant iron sites exposing at the surface, which presents superb bifunctional catalytic activity for hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions in base, substantially expediting the overall water splitting at 500 mA cm−2 with only 1.663 V, prominently superior to IrO2(+)//Pt(−) coupled electrodes and most of non‐noble bifunctional electrocatalysts. Abstract Alkaline water electrolysis is a commercially viable technology for green H2 production using renewable electricity from intermittent solar or wind energy, but very few non‐noble bifunctional catalysts simultaneously exhibit superb catalytic efficiency and stability at large current densities for hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions (HER and OER, respectively), especially for iron‐based catalysts. Given that iron is the most abundant and least expensive transition metal, iron‐based compounds are very attractive low‐cost targets as active electrocatalysts for bifunctional water splitting with large‐current durability. Herein, the in situ construction of a self‐supported Fe2P/Co2N porous heterostructure arrays possessing superb bifunctional catalytic activity in base is reported, featured by low overpotentials of 131 and 283 mV to attain a current density of 500 mA cm−2 for HER and OER, respectively, outperforming most of non‐noble bifunctional electrocatalysts reported hitherto. Particularly, this hybrid catalyst also displays an excellent overall water splitting activity, requiring low voltages of 1.561 and 1.663 V to attain 100 and 500 mA cm−2 with excellent durability in 1 m KOH, respectively. Most importantly, the catalyst is stable for >120 h, even when the current density is 500 mA cm−2, which is prominently superior to IrO2(+)//Pt(−) coupled noble electrodes, and is among the very best bifunctional catalysts reported thus far. Detailed theoretical calculations reveal that the interfacial interaction between Fe2P and Co2N can further improve the H* binding energy at the iron sites.

Rechargeable aqueous zinc (Zn) batteries are promising for large energy storage due to their low cost, high safety, and environmental compatibility, but their commercialization is hindered by the severe irreversibility of Zn metal anodes as exemplified by water-induced side reactions (H2 evolution and Zn corrosion) and dendrite growth. In this work, hierarchical layered silver-coated zinc anode under the assistance of anionic surfactant (trisodium citrate) was prepared for long-time cycle stabilities of zinc stripping and plating, where Ag coating has a strong affinity to Zn adatoms and hierarchical structure exhibits a positive role in inducing the (002) plane preferred-orientation growth of Zn phase. Benefiting from these features, hierarchical Ag-coated zinc anode was able to operate stability for more than 1200 cycles compared with the pure zinc anode at 2 mA/cm(2) for 1 mAh/cm(2), and an asymmetric cell shows superior Coulombic efficiency of similar to 99.6% over 800 cycles at a current density of 1 mA/cm(2) and 0.5 mAh/ cm(2), as well as a long cycling stability of 500 cycles with capacity of 115 mAh/g in MnO2||H-Zn@Ag full batteries. Water storage (WS) is a crucial terrestrial ecosystems service function. In cold alpine regions (CAR), the cryosphere elements are important solid water resources, but the existing methods for quantitatively assessing WS usually ignore cryosphere elements. In this study, a revised Seasonal Water Yield model (SWY) in the Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Trade-offs (InVEST), which considers the effects of frozen ground (FG) and snow cover (SC) on WS, was employed to estimate the spatiotemporal distribution and changes in WS in the Three-Rivers Headwaters region (TRHR) from 1981 to 2020. Sensitivity analyses were conducted to understand the overall effects of multiple factors on WS, as well as the dominant driving factors of WS change at the grid scale in the TRHR. The results show that (1) the WS in the TRHR generally increased from 1981 to 2020 (0.56 mm/year), but the spatial distribution of WS change varied greatly, with a significant increasing trend in the northwest part and a significant decreasing trend in the southeast part. (2) In the last 40 years, increased precipitation (Pre) positively affected WS, while increased potential evapotranspiration (ET0) reduced it. Increased permeability caused by degradation of frozen ground increased WS, while snow cover and LULC changes reduced it. (3) In the TRHR, Pre primarily affected the WS with the largest area ratio (32.62%), followed by land use/land cover (LULC) (19.69%) and ET0 (18.49%), with FG being fourth (17.05%) and SC being the least (6.64%). (4) The highly important and extremely important zones generally showed a decreasing trend in WS and should be treated as key and priority conservation regions. It is expected that this research could provide a scientific reference for water management in the TRHR.

Biofilm is a complex community of microorganisms with a more stable form compared to planktonic bacteria. Probiotic strains in biofilms have been found to have beneficial effects in numerous studies. The formation process and the regulatory mechanisms of biofilm were introduced. Strategies to promote biofilm growth were reviewed in categories. And the extraction and purification process of natural products in exogenous substances was also sorted out and summarized. The research found that different modes of action of the promoting biofilm molecules discussed were facilitated by interfering with the quorum sensing pathways, adhesion mechanisms, the two-component system, influencing extracellular polymers, and secondary messengers involved in various signaling pathways. The studies showed that the strength of the biofilm can be promoted by altering the adhesion surface material and nutrient sources. Probiotics and their secondary metabolites made critical impacts. Further studies found that the ingredients that can promote the formation of bacterial biofilms include hormones, inorganic ions (Mn2+, Cu2+, Fe3+), and natural extracts (inulin, fructooligosaccharides, malic acid, catechins, genistein, cranberry extract, resveratrol, propolis ethanolic extract, bioactive peptides, etc.). The method of extraction and purification prefers safe and low-harm solvents such as ethanol and water. Physical methods were also used to improve yields, such as microwaves, ultra-high pressure, column chromatography, etc. A multi-point, staggered, and all-round examination of the development of probiotic biofilms was directed. The exploration of probiotic biofilm will be a significant advancement heading in the field of probiotic research.
